At the moment Mon compte

A unique location in the heart of the urban jungle

Whether you choose to nap, play drums, sunbathe or picnic, the park is perfect for you. La Villette also has play areas for children, restaurants and an outdoor programme that runs from April to September.

The Cinematic Promenade, a walking trail in the form of a film reel, passes through the park’s different gardens and most of its buildings. It also features hidden gardens, children’s play areas and shady benches. The three-kilometre circuit takes around two hours – or all day, depending on your inclination !

Did you know? The park’s 35 hectares of natural areas are home to 2,750 trees, 30 species of bamboo, wild plants, vegetables, aquatic plants, aromatic plants and vines. These areas are also a refuge for insects and fauna. Our nest boxes encourage birds and bats to take up residence in the park. Our insect hotels attract bugs and give them a place to reproduce.

La Villette builds bridges between different cultural organisations working at the crossroads of art and science. Enjoy the programmes developed by the Cabaret Sauvage, the Cité de la Musique, the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie – Universcience, the Conservatoire National de Musique et de Danse, the Espace Chapiteaux, the Géode, the Grande Halle, the Hall de la Chanson, the Théâtre Paris-Villette, the Philharmonie de Paris, the Trabendo and the Zénith.

A healthy mind in a healthy body! Running, biking, qi gong, capoeira, tai chi, parkour, slackline and hiking are just some of the activities offered by non-profit organisations working to create new ways of experiencing the park.
