La Villette’s open-air cinema returns this summer!
A must-attend event of the summer, La Villette’s Open-Air Cinema is making its big return to the park after a one-year break due to the hosting of Club France as part of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
From July 23 to August 17, movie-loving audiences are invited to (re)discover the joy of open-air cinema screenings, on a blanket, in a deckchair, with a snack or a picnic!
A few new features mark this edition:
- Screenings for all ages at 6 p.m.: For the first time, the open-air cinema is offering a selection of intergenerational films.
- Earlier screenings at 9 p.m. for the classic sessions: Thanks to the installation of a new screen, films can now begin before nightfall (and finish before the last metro).
- 100% online ticketing: Reserve your deckchairs on villette.com.
This 2025 edition is themed around dance and music.
Deckchair rental: how to book
Deckchair rental is available at a flat rate of €6, exclusively online.
Ticket sales open each day at 4 p.m. and close at 10 p.m., and are valid only for that evening’s screening. Deckchairs cannot be reserved in advance for future dates.
Holders of the 2024/2025 or 2025/2026 Season Pass, as well as La Villette Card members, can book a deckchair free of charge via the online ticketing system.
Deckchairs can be collected starting from 7:30 p.m.
Please note: no deckchairs are available during screenings for young audiences.
In case of rain, and if the screening goes ahead, deckchair rentals are non-refundable.
Quick reminders for a successful screening:
- Free event, subject to capacity limits.
- In case of cancellation due to bad weather, the information will be communicated at 4 p.m.
- You may bring your own seating and picnic. Food trucks will be available on the lawns.
- Snacks and refreshments are available on-site from Kermès, the Savane & Mousson food truck, and the ice cream vendors La Fabrique à Gâteaux & La Pampara.
- Please note that animals are not allowed, except for assistance dogs.
- In case of extreme heat, please take necessary precautions!
- To prepare for the public reception, the Prairie du Triangle will close daily from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sharp, pointed, blunt or cutting objects, as well as weapons (knives, forks, corkscrews…) and glass bottles are prohibited.
- Minors remain under the responsibility of their accompanying adult(s) at all times and may under no circumstances be placed under the supervision of La Villette staff.
