Illusionist Thierry Collet has crafted his brand new creation Dans la Peau d’un Magicien (In a magician’s shoes) as a voyage into the center of his private world. How did he get involved in this art? This miracle worker retraces his career and offers a glimpse of the careers of the greats in the world of magic.

The show

Darth Vador was more his role model than any character on Bewitched. Thierry Collet recounts his personal experiences as a maker of miracles. Magic, a performance art par excellence, is an art that takes up challenges and accepts risks. But it’s also an art of appearances. While it gives the spectator the impression of constant improvisation, the magician always knows the end of the story before uttering the first word.

Breaking these codes, Thierry Collet never hesitates to use old memories when analyzing how his art evolved out of his own life experience. He crosses his personal story with those of big name illusionists who have left their mark on the art of prestidigitation, but also with that of a guru of a cult, and that of a sociology professor specialized in miracles. A sensitive and unique vision of magic.
“All through my years of training, my fellow magicians and I constantly dare and challenge each other to do impossible tricks, things that nobody had ever tackled. Today, I want to try to take on a few of those.” – Thierry Collet
