In the manner of the Grand Gallery at the Louvre, with its long span of ancient paintings interspersed by classical sculptures, the Great Gallery of Football shows a selection of emblematic works, from the 20s to today.
Square ball, FIFA’s collector posters, goal cages in stained glass… over 40 artists will exhibit their artwork, including Andreas Gursky, Wim Delvoye, David LaChapelle, Chris Beas, Kehinde Wiley, Iris Van Dongen. With paintings, sculptures, films, photographies, they question and celebrate football while inviting the observer to take a new look at this sport.
Entirely dedicated to football video games, mythical or forgotten, the installation Soccer Party Club proposes to play and contribute to the unfolding of a giant virtual football field. Kick Off, Super Soccer, Pelé Football, Tehkan World Cup, Virtua Striker 2, Mario Smash Football Terrain… are projected out of computer screens, to activate in full scale cages, players, ball and of course the wild atmosphere of an unstructured and immersive tournament broadcasting.
An immersive and fun video installation by Pierre Giner.

What would be Foot Foraine without a real funfair? La Villette turns into an amusement park and welcomes a vintage carousel and other roundabouts. At the Espace Chapiteaux, don’t miss the inflatable village, with a giant toboggan, trampolines, a labyrinth, bouncy castles, and climbing games…
The programme includes: friendly tournaments on offbeat fields, initiation to freestyle foot or Subbuteo, and broadcasting of football games at the bar-restaurant La Petite Halle…
La Villette conceived workshops to take your first steps in photography or become a supporter and have a go at being a sportscaster… You can also immerse in a digital funfair with the Magic Makers and the collective Mixage Fou! You can find all these workshops and more at Little Villette, the new space dedicated to family.
