During heritage days, or journées du patrimoine to use the French term, La Villette offers guided tours of its Espace Périphérique, the side area. Come discover this unusual place, its history, the circus and dance troupes, the street art in residence, and also the artistic teams.

The former site of the Annie Fratellini circus school was chosen by the city of Paris and La Villette in 2002 for construction of a residence for circus arts, street art, and puppetry. This space is called the Espace Périphérique.

Each guided tour is unique. The public is invited to discover this unique place, its history, the in-residence work, and to meet the artistic teams. Three projects will be presented: the acrobatic collective Entre nous, the circus company Les Mains sales, and the Belgian artist Nathalie Mauroy and her video installation Play.
