Accessibility

La Villette is committed to welcoming all audiences as best as possible. Come!

Due to ongoing maintenance work and the need to rest certain lawns, some areas of the park are temporarily inaccessible.

La Villette is committed to welcoming all audiences, especially people with disabilities who benefit from reduced rates, as well as their companion. Special seating arrangements are possible. Please inform us of your preference when booking your tickets.

Three buildings in Parc de la Villette are labeled “Tourisme & Handicap” for motor, mental, hearing, and visual impairments.

Public transportation

A tactile path connects the Porte de Pantin metro exit to the Grande Halle and all public-accessible rooms along the North-South axis of the park.


By car

A parking area is reserved for our mobility-impaired spectators, as well as parking spaces in the conservatory parking lot.

If you wish to park or be dropped off near the location of your event, please contact our Security service by email at: securite@villette.com once your tickets are reserved and at least 24 hours in advance.

On the programming side?

Every season, La Villette offers several shows adapted for people with disabilities.

For blind or visually impaired audiences

Shows are presented with audio description, in partnership with Accès Culture.

Assistance dogs are welcome at our performances, by notifying the teams in advance.

A tactile path connects the Porte de Pantin metro exit to the Grande Halle and all public-accessible rooms along the North-South axis of the park.

You can benefit from assistance from the “Souffleurs de sens” by making a request at least three weeks before the visit.

For audiences with intellectual or psychological disabilities

Relax sessions are offered in partnership with Culture relax.

These sessions provide a caring and warm environment where everyone, with or without disabilities, is welcomed and respected as they are.
These sessions allow individuals with complex disabilities to enjoy a show while experiencing their emotions without constraints, thanks to relaxed theater etiquette.
Noise-canceling headphones can be provided upon request.

People with reduced mobility

For its shows, La Villette is committed to providing adapted locations for people with reduced mobility.
Upon request, a wheelchair or a seat-cane can be provided. Please feel free to notify our teams before your visit: accessibilite@villette.com.

In the park, smooth moving walkways facilitate easier circulation for people with reduced mobility.

The Canal de l’Ourcq runs through the park’s center. Please check the most appropriate access to the event you are attending, with the assistance of our information team if needed: 01 40 03 75 75 (daily 11 AM to 7 PM).

For deaf or hard of hearing audiences

La Villette offers shows with sound amplification and surtitles. Upon request, sound amplification headphones or magnetic loop necklaces can be provided for certain performances.

What’s for children?

Little Villette offers workshops that can be adapted depending on the type of disability. The child must be accompanied by a caregiver.
