In two sets and four pieces as different as they are gripping, STEP takes the pulse of hip-hop dance in all its diversity, from electro to breakdance, languages that have come to express the individual and the collective more than ever.

ISABELLE CLARENÇON · Cosmic Circle · A 2024 creation · ARTISTS INITIATIVES
Four female dancers in search of personal and universal love. A performance inspired by clubbing, where people come to let go, ultimately to (re) connect to each other and to themselves, with music written by Isabelle Clarençon, performed live.
MARINA GOMES · Asmanti [Noon-Midnight] · A 2023 creation
Inspired by the neighbourhoods where she grew up, choreographer Marina Gomes envisioned this piece as one long sequence shot, an immersion with a group of young people out in the field. Street culture, rap, and cinema all feed into this impressive crescendo of tension.

Cie LES CORPS JETÉS – NOÉ CHAPSAL · Viscum · A 2024 creation
Coming from a breakdance background, Noé Chapsal has authored a piece heavily marked by the act of journeying towards others. Amidst a dark, intense world, the duo that he forms with Charlotte Louvel employs a vocabulary made up of dazzling descents to the ground and explosive leaps back up into the air.
KHALED IDRISS ABDULAHI · A.D · A 2024 creation · ARTISTS INITIATIVES
Khaled Idriss Abdulahi, a big name in electro dance, has created a piece for five performers to explore our complex relationship with addiction. Each body explores what it means to overcome oneself in the face of absence, domination, and the gaze of others.
